They are markedly different from a short form blog post both in terms of effort and depth of material.

I do have number and insights based on eBooks, webinars, infographics, and many other content types. I didn’t cover that in this blog post. You’ll have to attend my webinar for the full insights on those formats.

A pyramid is a collection of content of varied formats all about the same topic. I don’t cover the insights regarding pyramids in this post, but will share some of the insights in the webinar.

I haven’t got to headlines yet, but have analyzed topics for example, I know that customer success stories and book reviews perform very poorly for us.

The way you used your own struggles and experiences to present a lesson that resonates with the reader was very powerful, and I agree with Barry, this would certainly make a killer webinar!

However, I’m curious to know if you conducted the process you listed above manually, or whether you used a content marketing platform (like HubSpot or LeadSquared)? If not, what’s your opinion on using one? I feel that in this case in particular, there’s an inbound marketing tool which I have used before called SalesPanda, which had a collection of features that make almost everything you mentioned above accessible. Since everything is located on a single platform and much of it is automated, wouldn’t using such a platform make things considerably easier to execute, especially for agencies with lesser manpower?

Love this top to bottom: the transparency, the straight talk, and the lessons presented. Should be a killer webinar. I think at the very least it should inspire the 100% intuitive crowd to start measuring SOMETHING.

Two questions:

1) In Strategy/choosing format, you arrive at “long form.” I get it. It rocks the numbers across your KPIs. But it’s not really a format. You don’t use the word “eBook.” Are you talking about eBooks? Or posts like this? Or webinars? Or all of the above, what you describe as a pyramid?

2) Done any predictive analytics with topics and headlines?
